The art form
Indo-Japanese Ukiyo-e — Ganpati through a woodblock lens.
Ukiyo-e — literally “pictures of the floating world” — is the Japanese woodblock print tradition of the Edo period, the one behind Hokusai's wave and Hiroshige's road prints. Its grammar is unmistakable: flat planes of colour with no shading, a confident black outline doing all the drawing, a vermilion sun disc, stylised cloud banks and wave crests, wind-bent pine, far mountains in flat blue-grey, and the sun-faded palette of paper that has aged a century.
Into that frame goes the Indian half. Ganesha is drawn in the round, generous line of Pahari and Mysore miniature painting — the lotus, the modak, the mushak at his feet, Devanagari lettering and the Om — arranged as a gridded editorial collage rather than one centred deity. The result reads like a page torn from an illustrated manuscript that never existed: a Japanese printmaker's hand on an Indian subject.
That collision is the whole point. Devotional imagery on Indian streetwear is usually either a photographic reprint or a temple calendar lifted wholesale. This is neither — it's drawn, and it's drawn in a visual language that has never been pointed at Ganpati before.

Why this one
The print is the reason. The blank is why you'll keep wearing it.
240 GSM, garment-dyed
Heavyweight combed cotton with a boxy oversized drop-shoulder cut. It hangs off the shoulder instead of clinging, and it holds that shape after washing — the weight is the difference between a tee that lasts a season and one that lasts years.
A3 DTF print, edge to edge
Direct-to-film at A3 keeps the fine Ukiyo-e linework and the flat colour blocks crisp at full size, with a soft hand-feel rather than a plastic slab sitting on the fabric. It won't crack along a fold the way a thick plastisol block does.
